A Revised Design

I've made some revisions to my Pleated Everyday Bag. It now comes with an adjustable strap that is approximately 26" to 46" end to end. That means you can wear it like a shoulder bag or across the body messenger style! I personally love wearing it like a messenger. It also comes with three interior pockets so it's easier to keep things organized. The seams are all triple stitched and extra reinforced at the stress points, as are all my handbags,  so it's quite sturdy. I added one to the shop yesterday made of cotton twill in a lovely key lime color.  A perfect color to take you into spring. Many new fabrics are now waiting in the Pesky Cat Designs studio to be transformed into lovely bags. Lots of new colors for spring such as key lime green, cornflower blue, burgundy red and more. I'll be adding more of my spring collection of handbags to the shop in the upcoming weeks.

The Rainbow Bridge

Had to say goodbye to my sweet Anni this past Tuesday. She had been sick for several weeks and after my Vet confirmed that she would not get better only worse, I decided I could not let her suffer. So at around 2 pm she traveled to the rainbow bridge. She had been my buddy for more than 15 years.

When I first started sewing she would often sit right next to the sewing machine occasionally swatting at the lose thread at the end of my fabric. My partner walked by one day and said " Are you being a pesky little cat Anni?" That stayed in my mind so when it was time to name the shop, "Pesky Cat Designs" seemed perfect. She was actually far from pesky, with such a sweet and gentle demeanor.

I will never forget my little sweetie. She will be in my heart forever.

Time

My work pictured on the left has taken time away from my work on the right. Spending free time these days with friends and walks on the beach.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Home Sweet Home

After spending several months on a job assignment that took me away from my studio, I'm finally back in St. Augustine, FL. I worked with a wonderful group of folks and enjoyed my stay in Tarrytown, NY which is about 40 minutes by train into NYC.
I'm eager to get back to designing and creating and have lots of new ideas I can't wait to get started on.

Above is a shot of Millie, a wonderful coworker back in New York, modeling the Harris Tweed Patchwork Satchel. Wish I had her here for my next photo shoot!
