Semi-circle Purse with a Leafed Branch Applique Etsy Front Page "Out on a LIMB!!" curated by BeadNestDesigns T his morning I discovered that my Semi-circle Purse with a Leafed Branch Applique made it to the front page of Etsy's  website last night. My purse got over 500 views! Thank you BeadNestDesigns   for curating such a wonderful treasury and the Etsy administration for choosing it for the front page!

I had such a wonderful day on Fire Island yesterday. Today it's back to work. This afternoon I plan to post a few new handbags that will be available in my shop .  I've been sewing quite a lot in preparation for the Brooklyn Indie  Market that I will be participating in on July 12th. I'll be posting a sneak preview of some new creations on my blog that will be available to purchase at the market. Stayed tuned!

T oday I took a much needed day off to spend some time on   Fire Island , NY. Below I posted some photos my partner Tom took that really capture the serenity and beauty of the Island.  Fire Island Lighthouse

Y esterday I spent a lot of my day cutting fabric for new handbags and other items in preparation for the Brooklyn Indie Market that I will be participating in on July 12th from 11AM to 7PM. This past Monday I purchased some great cotton canvas in caramel, light steel gray, olive green and natural with a linen like texture as well as some fabric for my applique work in dark gray and caramel ultrasuede. The ideas are already flowing for new designs and fabric combinations. Cant wait to get started! Also pictured above are a few new handbags that I completed this week. I will be posting them in my shop this week.  

I will be participating in the Brooklyn Indie Market on Saturday, July 12th from 11AM to 7PM! The Brooklyn Indie Market is a collective of emerging fashion and product designers located in lovely Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn on Smith and Union Street. See their website for more information.
