Pesky Cat News

I recently took a mini vacation when a good friend from out of town came to visit. We relaxed on the beach, took walks downtown, explored historical sites and more. I had a wonderful time!

Downtown St. Augustine.

Path to the beach.

Spotted on the beach. A sandman with a horseshoe crab head.

Anni enjoying the view from the balcony.

Now it's time to get busy in the studio. I am currently working on a batch of purses made from corduroy adorned with bird appliques. I absolutely love corduroy and have a nice selection of sturdy upholstery grade in a variety of colors including olive green, burnt orange, slate gray and cherry red.  Should have the first batch in the SHOP this Wednesday. Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead!

Liberty of London Cross Body Purses

"Tresco – a watercolor study of a selection of flowers, ferns and succulents from the windswept sand dunes and landscaped borders of the Abbey Garden, which represents the rich collection of plants gathered from around the globe."

Ricardo's Blooms - from the Gallery of Prints collection by Liberty Art Fabrics. The Ricardo’s Bloom fabric design is based on a traditional painterly roses pattern from the 1960s.

Ricardo's Blooms - In a rose/red colorway.

Mitsi - designed by Gillian Farr, a member of Liberty’s studio in the 1950s. It plays on Liberty’s history with its Japanese style cherry blossom.

A custom order made using Liberty of London's Floral Eve – " this design is taken from a large botanical painting called ‘The Herbarium Specimen‘, painted by Rachel Pedder Smith, which is over five metres long and took seven hundred and sixty six days to complete."

Liberty of London Foldover Clutches

The newest addition to my Liberty of London collection of clutches is the Tana Lawn Hera print. Named after the Greek goddess, whose sacred animal was the peacock, Liberty's Hera print was designed in 1887 and features an iconic peacock feather pattern.

Clockwise from top left, Liberty of London's Floral Eve, Hera, Tresco in blue and Tresco in green.

New items are added to the shop every week so come visit the Pesky Cat Designs shop to peruse them all. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
