Moving Day

Photo via Popular Mechanics Update August 5th: There have been a few delays with our move so the shop is now scheduled to reopen on August 10th. I'll be posting more news very soon! Moving day for Pesky Cat Designs is approaching very quickly. The shop is now closed until August 5th during our move and to prepare the new studio. If you want to sign up to be notified when the shop is reopening just go here . We are really excited and can't wait to get settled in. Anni, our sweet kitty is a little bit stressed with all changes but I am sure she will love her new home. My next post here will be from beautiful St. Augustine, Florida. See you then!

A Storque Feature: Etsy Labs at South Street Seaport

This week Etsy and South Street Seaport is teaming up to host a series of free Craft Nights at the @Seaport space, in NYC, and they are kicking it off with a sea-themed applique sewing workshop. Read all about it here . If you live far away you can still stop by for a demonstration straight from Craft Night via Etsy's online multi-user chat room, Virtual Labs , for a live online demo at 5PM ET. (Click here to see what time 5PM ET is in your hometown.) Thanks Etsy for featuring my Offbeat Messenger Bag with a seahorse applique among your cool nautical finds in your Storque feature. It seems like perfect timing for my upcoming move to St. Augustine, Florida. I just can't wait to get settled in and start designing my sea-inspired collection!

Things Are Looking Up

S lowly but surely we are getting ready for our move to St. Augustine, Fl. I've already purchased new fabrics inspired by the impending move. Blue and white prints, various stripes and ticking, linen and jute webbing. In the past few weeks I've sold a lot of bags to friends and coworkers so I will need to replenish my Etsy shop as soon as I can. The shop will be closed for a week or so during our move. Once the new studio is in place I'll begin production of a new collection. Can't wait!
