The New Wristlet

T his week I worked on creating a new design for my shop. The wristlet shown above has a detachable strap so you can wear it on your wrist or use it as a clutch. It's generously sized at 5.5" high, 8" wide and 1.25" deep. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it takes me a lot less time to create one of these as compared to a purse or bag. I'll be adding five new wristlets to the shop this evening. They will be available in a variety of appliques and colors. Stay tuned!

Three New Bags

This week I planned on working in my studio everyday but it turned into a day and a half. I still managed to create three new bags that are now available at the Pesky Cat Designs shop. Most days I begin working in the studio around 10AM and end 5PM. I am very strict about not working past 5PM but my start time can vary. I often have distractions, like lunches and walks for exercise. This week I had a few extra distractions, most of them pleasant so I can't complain. Next week I plan to sew sew sew! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ahead.

What's New

These days Anni prefers the view outside the window to the view into the Pesky Cat Designs studio. When I first starting sewing on a regular basis she was very fascinated by the movement of thread on my sewing machine. Often she would be so bothersome I could not work. That's how the name of my shop evolved. These days she is very bored of the machine since it's become such a routine. Now squirrels climbing trees and other outdoor events seem much more interesting. While she was busy at the window I sewed up two new purses and added them to the shop . Both of them are made from a linen-look upholstery fabric in chocolate brown and are fully lined a cool retro-look owl print cotton fabric. Tomorrow I will be adding a couple more new bags in the shop. Stay tuned! The Jewel Cut Purse in a Chocolate Brown Basket Weave Inside the Jewel Cut Purse

New Corduroy Purses

I completed some new corduroy purses this week that I plan to add to the shop either later today or tomorrow. Weather conditions, being partly cloudy outside, are not optimal at the moment for photographing my purses in daylight. I prefer to photograph them using daylight  as I find the colors are most true to life. So I am at the mercy of mother nature concerning my photo shoot. I'll try to make the best of it and continue creating some more handbags in the meantime.
