Pesky Cat Designs

I just snagged a treasury ! My list is inspired by Dawn of LaTouchables gorgeous cuff . Dawn writes "On earth, to reach five miles high, you must climb...." From there I picked more of my favorite woodland creations to create my latest treasury. Enjoy!

Yesterday I decided it was time to take some model shoots of my Harris Tweed Messenger/Shoulder Bag so I threw on my warm faux suede coat and some comfortable boots and headed over to the Gramercy neighborhood of NYC. That's me standing on the corner of 19th street and Irving Place. I also took a photo of my Offbeat Messenger being worn as a shoulder bag in front of Gramercy Park , a small fenced-in private park located in the Gramercy neighborhood of NYC. It is privately owned by the owners of the surrounding structures and residents living in these buildings that face the park may buy a key to the park. It's obvious that I did not have a key but managed to get a nice shoot nontheless. And last but certainly not least, this morning my Harris Tweed Messenger Bag was featured on Etsy's front page! Yesterday I found myself in front of the computer just as a treasury was opening up. I already had my selections ready in postersketch so all I had to to is copy and paste. Blushing Birds , was inspired by GollyBard's gorgeous watercolor painting of two cardinals. There are so many lovely shops on Etsy . Every time I curate a treasury my search for new items leads me to many more gorgeous discoveries. On another note, this past week it's been a little quiet at the Pesky Cat Designs studio. I've been busy with lots of outside activities so my trusty Juki and I have gotten a little rest. This week I hope to finish up drafting a new purse design that I will be introducing to the shop very soon. First a pattern is drafted onto paper, fabric cut and a new purse sewn up. If I like the final piece I'll trace my pattern onto sturdier paper stock. Creating a new design is always challenging and exciting. I'll keep you posted on my progress so stay tuned. Today this beautiful treasury created by Dawn of LaTouchables , titled The Wayfarer, made it to Etsy's front page! Thanks so much Dawn for curating this gorgeous travel inspired list and for including my purse. And thank you Etsy for selecting it to be featured. If you haven't checked out Dawn's shop yet you really must. She creates the most unique bags and body adornment. I love the titles of her pieces such as The Nomad , Girl with a Chocolate Bolero and The Blue Rider . Each piece has an accompanying story as well. Her works evoke a sense of sophisticated world traveler and fun loving free spirit .

Lately I've been in a treasury-making mood so I was quite happy when I managed to get my hands on one yesterday. With Valentine's Day coming soon I decided to select items inspired by romance and added a touch of whimsy. I went through my favorites to find items that would fit into my theme and came up with an enchanted forest filled with whimsy and romance !
