Shop Update

Just added three new bags to the Pesky Cat Designs shop. The Cross Body Satchel has been popular so I'll be busy in the studio this week working on more.
Yesterday I pedaled my bike about 7 miles round trip to pick up some much needed supplies that made it possible for me finish up these new bags. Luckily most of the roads, including the highways, have bicycle lanes. The weather here has been beautiful so it was a pleasure.
Wishing you all a great week!

Wow, sounds so much fun biking to pick up supplies .. how green as well!
Dia- There is a hobby store about 3 1/2 miles away and they carry thread, needles , fusible interface and even some cotton quilting fabric!

Lakshmi- We are car-free so we have to bike for all our errands such as grocery shopping etc. We got panniers attached to the side of our bikes and carry an ice pack when we buy perishables. At first it was tiring for me since I was not in shape. But now that I have been doing this for almost 8 months, 7 miles is like nothing! ha

That's great that you can get a little exercise, enjoy the fresh air, and shop for supplies.

How's Anni doing? I hope she's enjoying the sun!

New Harris Tweed Patchwork

Just added a couple of one-of-a-kind Harris Tweed patchwork bags to the Pesky Cat Designs shop. It will be the perfect bag to pair up with your favorite fall or winter coat and add a pop of color to your day.
To create the flap I cut out squares of Harris Tweed wool and interface each piece. Then I play around arranging the different colors and patterns. That's the most fun part. When I am satisfied with the result I begin to sew them together. And that is how the patchwork flap evolves.
Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend ahead. Enjoy!
