New Purses for Spring

This red corduroy semi-circle purse is new for spring and was added to the shop last week.

The leafed branch applique was hand-cut and machine stitched onto the purse.

A purse in steel blue corduroy with a bird applique was also added to the Pesky Cat Designs shop.

The first two purses still need to be photographed. Hope to have them in the shop in the next few days. They are made from fine quality upholstery faux suede.

The weather here has been beautiful. A recent day trip had us strolling along this boardwalk that leads to the Intracostal Waterway. We spotted an alligator along the way and ended our walk watching dolphins.

Anni has been spending most of her days catching rays. Happy Spring!

Hi Elisa,
I opened my blog list and this red jumped right on me! What a splendid little red bag, full of energy!

Alligators brrrrr, I am not so fond of them - but the dolphins would bring me joy too!

Do it like Anni, enjoy the sun! :-)

Lying in the planter? Yeah, that seems comfortable - nutty cat.
Yael- Yes, I am not too fond of alligators as well. I will be enjoying the sun for sure. Have a wonderful Sunday!
reread - Ha, yes cats love the most uncomfortable looking places to relax in. Most of the time she squeezes herself into a box half her size.
That boardwalk reminds me of my mom's home. It looks simply beautiful! I know that FL is beautiful this time of year, and I envy you!

Such luscious bags, Elisa. Gorgeous!

Happy Easter-I do like the red one-Annie seems so content.
Thank you for stopping by Dawn. And yes, this is the best time of year in Northern Florida. :)
Thanks for stopping by Esme. Anni loves the back sliding doors. She sits there watching the birds and little lizards until she gets so tired that she falls asleep right in the planter. :)

Those are some gorgeous colors, especially that top red purse. I love the lining too. Your daytrip looks fun. What a neat looking boardwalk. Living at the beach most of my life, this boardwalk is quite unique but I don't think I'd be happy about the alligator unless it I could see it from afar.

Oh, I just love this picture of Anni. What a great life to be able to safely sit in the sun and watch the birds. My Annie sends your Anni purrs. :)

The Pesky Cat's Day Dream

Katzenhohle by Dornroeschen Filzunikate I recently came across this incredible cat bed made by German artist Dornroeschen Filzunikate. This beautiful piece of functional art called a Katzenhohle , cat cave, is handmade of felted wool. It's definitely the most unique cat bed I have ever seen. It would bring a bit of nature into my urban NYC home. I think my Anni would love a cat cave although her favorite spots right now are the pillow behind my head in bed, a straw basket that was meant to store magazines and a storage box made from fabric that becomes a hammock when she sleeps in it. My sweet Anni FOX 5 Update : A while back I wrote a post about a story that Fox 5 news was doing on Etsy and the handmade market. I was interviewed in my studio as part of the feature. An Etsy press agent recently informed me that the story aired April 15th and he also missed it. He said he is trying to get a copy of it from the studio. I'll be sure to post a link to it when it becomes availab...

Another Studio Location Coming Soon!

P esky Cat Designs will soon have another workshop location. Starting August 1st I'll be working from my studio located in St. Augustine Florida! Those who have been following my blog know that I've made many trips to the area in the past few years. I'm excited with the prospect of being able to work from a new place that will bring me new inspirations and ideas. My studio will be located within close proximity to several craft and green markets. If all goes as planned I hope to be able to sell my handbags at one of these markets as well as continue selling via my Etsy shop. I'll keep you posted with everything. Right now there is a lot of planning going on so I am not able to work on new handbags as much as I want to. As soon as all gets settled expect to see many new creations in the shop!
