Oh you...you're amazing!

That is super cute with the butterflies :)and very kind of you!
I have entered I cross fingers now :)
Have a nice weekend Elisa x
Kitty Stampede- I made this bag especially for the giveaway. I've always used World's Best Cat Litter and love it. It's natural made from corn. I was tweeting one day on how I like it and the good people at World's Best tweeted back to me. And the rest is history.

I am now working on a kitty bag that I will be introducing to the shop in the next few weeks. :)

Happy Valentines Day. PS I so want this bag-what an awesome giveaway.

We just started using WB K.Litter. I like it much better than what I was using.
Esme- Glad you and the kitties like it! The fact that it is all natural is why I started using it. Kitties step into it and later lick their paws. The other litters had so much perfumes and chemicals. I use the extra strength one in the red bag.
By the way, I am introducing a cat applique satchel to the shop this week and plan to keep it in stock in my shop. :)

The Pesky Cat's Day Dream

Katzenhohle by Dornroeschen Filzunikate I recently came across this incredible cat bed made by German artist Dornroeschen Filzunikate. This beautiful piece of functional art called a Katzenhohle , cat cave, is handmade of felted wool. It's definitely the most unique cat bed I have ever seen. It would bring a bit of nature into my urban NYC home. I think my Anni would love a cat cave although her favorite spots right now are the pillow behind my head in bed, a straw basket that was meant to store magazines and a storage box made from fabric that becomes a hammock when she sleeps in it. My sweet Anni FOX 5 Update : A while back I wrote a post about a story that Fox 5 news was doing on Etsy and the handmade market. I was interviewed in my studio as part of the feature. An Etsy press agent recently informed me that the story aired April 15th and he also missed it. He said he is trying to get a copy of it from the studio. I'll be sure to post a link to it when it becomes availab...

Music Inspired

Pink Floyd   Bowie   Red Hot Chili Peppers  Hand-painted hazmat suit with images from Pink Floyd The Wall. This is still a work in progress. Plan to wear to a Halloween party this year. Below shows back of suit.  Closet door painted by me as a teenager around 1980. Music and art has always been a big part of my life. In the past year I have added a music-inspired collection of bags to my shop. The appliques are hand-cut and then machine stitched to the bag. No two bags are ever exactly alike. One-of-a-kind and all handmade by me in my studio from start to finish. See the entire collection here.
