New in the Shop

Five new bags made from Harris Tweed wool in shades of blue have been added to the Pesky Cat Designs shop. There's a selection in a weave of gray, blue and light brown, a heathered blue and a deep ocean blue.

They are all fully lined in pretty cotton floral print fabrics.

Earlier today I pedaled along the beach and watched birds enjoying the sea. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

I just love these stone colors for your fall collection! Beautiful!
Dawn- Thank you! The stone color is one of my favorites. It's a weave of gray, blue and a light brown tones. The weaver must have tossed in the sea and bits of the earth when he/she created this cloth!

The Rainbow Bridge

Had to say goodbye to my sweet Anni this past Tuesday. She had been sick for several weeks and after my Vet confirmed that she would not get better only worse, I decided I could not let her suffer. So at around 2 pm she traveled to the rainbow bridge. She had been my buddy for more than 15 years.

When I first started sewing she would often sit right next to the sewing machine occasionally swatting at the lose thread at the end of my fabric. My partner walked by one day and said " Are you being a pesky little cat Anni?" That stayed in my mind so when it was time to name the shop, "Pesky Cat Designs" seemed perfect. She was actually far from pesky, with such a sweet and gentle demeanor.

I will never forget my little sweetie. She will be in my heart forever.

The Pesky Cat Designs shop has reopened!

10 Year Anniversary

October this year was Pesky Cat Designs 10 year Anniversary! Although I've had an outside job for all those years I always made time for my creative endeavors. I have a Bachelor of Science degree but did originally attend an university of the arts. I painted for many years and then later discovered my love for creating handbags. This month I had two sales from a customer that has purchased 18 handbags from my shop! It really made my day to realize I have so many loyal customers. They have made it possible for me to keep creating and doing what gives me so much joy!
