Elisa, your photos are beautiful, and your bags, as well. I love how you are wearing your hair...!
Thank you Dawn. You are very sweet!

I have a great photographer that worked as a photo journalist. :)

Eliza, the pink bag is lovely. I really like the color. Thank you for the birthday wishes. The kitties gave me the best present-a big smile on my face. P. has a new habit in the morning-come and sniff my armpits so that I will wake up. I do not think I stink but I even think it is a rather nasty habit for a little girl. She is asleep on our staircase. We just moved into a new home and the stair case looks down on the living area-it is her favorite place in the house. She is sleeping so soundly which is rare for her. Have a lovely weekend and give Annie a kiss from us.
Thank you Esme. I love hearing about your kitties. They are just the sweetest. Our Anni has picked up the habit of waking us up by putting her nose in our faces while we sleep. She has not gone for the armpit yet. Lol!

The Pesky Cat's Day Dream

Katzenhohle by Dornroeschen Filzunikate I recently came across this incredible cat bed made by German artist Dornroeschen Filzunikate. This beautiful piece of functional art called a Katzenhohle , cat cave, is handmade of felted wool. It's definitely the most unique cat bed I have ever seen. It would bring a bit of nature into my urban NYC home. I think my Anni would love a cat cave although her favorite spots right now are the pillow behind my head in bed, a straw basket that was meant to store magazines and a storage box made from fabric that becomes a hammock when she sleeps in it. My sweet Anni FOX 5 Update : A while back I wrote a post about a story that Fox 5 news was doing on Etsy and the handmade market. I was interviewed in my studio as part of the feature. An Etsy press agent recently informed me that the story aired April 15th and he also missed it. He said he is trying to get a copy of it from the studio. I'll be sure to post a link to it when it becomes ava

Freezing in Florida

I'm back from my week long vacation in St. Augustine, Florida. Founded in 1565, it is the oldest established city and the oldest port in the continental United States. My partner Tom and I stayed at a oceanfront hotel located on St. Augustine Beach, just 3.7 miles from historic downtown St. Augustine, with views of the sea and the sound of crashing waves from our room. The weather was quite cool for this time of the year with an average temperature in the low to mid 50's but we enjoyed exploring downtown, walks on the beach and having an indoor pool and hot tub to relax in. The hotel had an area with a glass wind barrier that made it warm enough to lie in the sun, even with a bathing suit on, in 50 degree weather. Walks on the beach required socks with sandals most days, yes I know that is a big fashion faux pas but I made it work with matching socks. I must say that I did not miss the hustle and bustle of NYC at all and throughly enjoyed the relaxation and peace. Today in NY
