Faux Suede in Olive Green, Chartreuse, Lilac and Truffle

A new collection of handbags made from premium faux suede fabric are coming to the Pesky Cat Designs studio! The fabric samples posted above are some of the colors that will be available. I'm also working on revising some of my designs and adding a new creation. In case you are wondering about my Harris Tweed Collection, more is one the way. I'm ordering more fabric directly from the Isle of Harris! Stay tuned!

Gorgeous colours!
They are beautiful on their own but I can easily imagine all four of them together...

Your Harris Tweed design in the picture in the previous post is beautiful! I love the colors. I'm very excited about your faux suede designs too, particularly the beautiful shade of lavendar! You have an amazing knack for choosing fabrics I adore - corduroy and faux suede are among my favorites and tweed is a staple and a neccessity in fall & winter!
Gorgeous designs, how ever do I choose?!

So sorry I haven't been to visit in a long while. I was over-whelmed by all the blogging things I had to do as well as real life and just backed off for a bit. Of course, when I regained my footing I had a lot to do! Thank you for continuing to comment on my posts despite my lack of visits to your blog. I really appreciate your faith in me :o)

Keep up the beautiful work! Love to your adorable kitty too!

The Rainbow Bridge

Had to say goodbye to my sweet Anni this past Tuesday. She had been sick for several weeks and after my Vet confirmed that she would not get better only worse, I decided I could not let her suffer. So at around 2 pm she traveled to the rainbow bridge. She had been my buddy for more than 15 years.

NYC 2007
When I first started sewing she would often sit right next to the sewing machine occasionally swatting at the lose thread at the end of my fabric. My partner walked by one day and said " Are you being a pesky little cat Anni?" That stayed in my mind so when it was time to name the shop, "Pesky Cat Designs" seemed perfect. She was actually far from pesky, with such a sweet and gentle demeanor.

I will never forget my little sweetie. She will be in my heart forever.

The Pesky Cat Designs shop has reopened!

10 Year Anniversary

October this year was Pesky Cat Designs 10 year Anniversary! Although I've had an outside job for all those years I always made time for my creative endeavors. I have a Bachelor of Science degree but did originally attend an university of the arts. I painted for many years and then later discovered my love for creating handbags. This month I had two sales from a customer that has purchased 18 handbags from my shop! It really made my day to realize I have so many loyal customers. They have made it possible for me to keep creating and doing what gives me so much joy!
