And hello, kitty, beautiful picture!
A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you. Congrats on your front pager yesterday. I get so happy for you when I see your work there. And I can't believe you listed new bags today. Don't forget to take time for yourself!
Thanks everyone! Wishing you all the best as well.

Button Chick: I did list new bags yesterday but at least I did not go anywhere near the sewing machine. lol!

Thank you all for your holiday wishes!!

REread: Actually the photo of my kitty Anni was completely unplanned. I had placed my christmas tree on a bookshelf and Anni was curious and jumped up to investigate. I quickly ran and got my camera. To get her to look up at the tree I held some ribbon up. She loves ribbons and threads so it only took a few photos to get the perfect shoot!
I forgot to mention how amazed I was that she jumped up on the bookshelf and didn't knock any of the christmas cards over!

The Pesky Cat's Day Dream

Katzenhohle by Dornroeschen Filzunikate I recently came across this incredible cat bed made by German artist Dornroeschen Filzunikate. This beautiful piece of functional art called a Katzenhohle , cat cave, is handmade of felted wool. It's definitely the most unique cat bed I have ever seen. It would bring a bit of nature into my urban NYC home. I think my Anni would love a cat cave although her favorite spots right now are the pillow behind my head in bed, a straw basket that was meant to store magazines and a storage box made from fabric that becomes a hammock when she sleeps in it. My sweet Anni FOX 5 Update : A while back I wrote a post about a story that Fox 5 news was doing on Etsy and the handmade market. I was interviewed in my studio as part of the feature. An Etsy press agent recently informed me that the story aired April 15th and he also missed it. He said he is trying to get a copy of it from the studio. I'll be sure to post a link to it when it becomes availab...

Another Studio Location Coming Soon!

P esky Cat Designs will soon have another workshop location. Starting August 1st I'll be working from my studio located in St. Augustine Florida! Those who have been following my blog know that I've made many trips to the area in the past few years. I'm excited with the prospect of being able to work from a new place that will bring me new inspirations and ideas. My studio will be located within close proximity to several craft and green markets. If all goes as planned I hope to be able to sell my handbags at one of these markets as well as continue selling via my Etsy shop. I'll keep you posted with everything. Right now there is a lot of planning going on so I am not able to work on new handbags as much as I want to. As soon as all gets settled expect to see many new creations in the shop!
