Hand-woven Ikat and Stripes

Just added a batch of Foldover Clutches to the shop made from cotton stripes and Ikat that was hand-woven on a treadle loom in the highlands of Guatemala. Each pattern is unique and gorgeous. I have a limited amount of yardage left, just enough for a few bags and some more clutches.

What are your plans for this weekend? I plan to work in my studio on some new ideas.  And if weather permits, we plan a drive or bike trip to the ocean. Maybe a seaside picnic. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Enjoy!

WOW Elisi, they are GORGEOUS!!!!
I really love them - all the colors are so pretty!

We are off to the desert in about an hour for three days - to "the end of the world" near the Egyptian border, nothing there but stones and rocks and hills and sand and a wide sky and I little hut to hire - just peace and stillness, ahhhh... :-)
I am in love with the ikat fabric...So gorgeous!

New Harris Tweed Purses

Harris Tweed Color Block Purse This week in the studio I did some experimenting combining various Harris Tweed weaves to create a purse. This purse is also a new design measuring at approximately 14" wide, 8.5" high and 2.5" deep. Roomy enough to fit your daily essentials with a stream-lined design to fit comfortably under your arm. Harris Tweed Color Block Purse The purse above is made from Harris Tweed wool in two plain weaves and a barleycorn weave. I love the contrasting colors and textures. Back view of purses above. Harris Tweed Two Tone Bag And last but not least, a basket/tote design, using a lovely blue Harris Tweed plain weave and a Macleod check. All these new bags are now available at the Pesky Cat Designs shop. Wishing everyone a great weekend ahead!
