Yesterday Autumn officially arrived here in NYC while the weather remained summer-like. Today the temperature is 81F and I ran my morning errands wearing a light t-shirt, jeans and my comfortable Wolky sandals. I went to go to the UPS store, the Union Square Farmers Market and the hardware store. After arriving home I realized I also need cat litter, cat food and groceries. One of the disadvantages of living in the city is that you have to carry all your groceries home since driving and parking is such a hassle. The advantage to living in the city is that you can order anything you want by phone or on the internet, including groceries and have them delivered to your home in an hour! So I ordered everything I needed and waited patiently for all to arrive by eco-friendly bicycle. Now Anni has her essentials and my partner and I have groceries for dinner. Tom is already cooking the brussel sprouts, my favorite. I didn't get much done in the studio today but I did add two new handbags to the Pesky Cat Designs shop. The shoulder bag posted above was a little experiment with a new design. I think it's a perfect bag to celebrate the fall season with!
Harris Tweed Color Block Purse This week in the studio I did some experimenting combining various Harris Tweed weaves to create a purse. This purse is also a new design measuring at approximately 14" wide, 8.5" high and 2.5" deep. Roomy enough to fit your daily essentials with a stream-lined design to fit comfortably under your arm. Harris Tweed Color Block Purse The purse above is made from Harris Tweed wool in two plain weaves and a barleycorn weave. I love the contrasting colors and textures. Back view of purses above. Harris Tweed Two Tone Bag And last but not least, a basket/tote design, using a lovely blue Harris Tweed plain weave and a Macleod check. All these new bags are now available at the Pesky Cat Designs shop. Wishing everyone a great weekend ahead!

Very cute bag
its lovely really for autumn ^__^
How cool is it that you can order those things and have them delivered like that. Is it terribly expensive to have them delivered?
Whimsical Creations- The pet store has free delivery and the grocery store is $2.95 for delivery. I do tip the delivery man in each case so it can get expensive. So it's not sometime I do on a daily basis although I would like to!
Gorgeous bag as always!
