Today's Progress

Today I finished four new Wayfarer Purses and started two Offbeat Messenger Bags. Posted above is some of my progress. Three of the purses that I finished today are custom orders. One is for a customer that purchased my first "Create your Own Custom Order Wayfarer Purse" from the Pesky Cat Designs shop! I already got several inquiries about custom order Messenger Bags. I plan to offer that in my shop very soon!

The Rainbow Bridge

Had to say goodbye to my sweet Anni this past Tuesday. She had been sick for several weeks and after my Vet confirmed that she would not get better only worse, I decided I could not let her suffer. So at around 2 pm she traveled to the rainbow bridge. She had been my buddy for more than 15 years.

When I first started sewing she would often sit right next to the sewing machine occasionally swatting at the lose thread at the end of my fabric. My partner walked by one day and said " Are you being a pesky little cat Anni?" That stayed in my mind so when it was time to name the shop, "Pesky Cat Designs" seemed perfect. She was actually far from pesky, with such a sweet and gentle demeanor.

I will never forget my little sweetie. She will be in my heart forever.

Time

My work pictured on the left has taken time away from my work on the right. Spending free time these days with friends and walks on the beach.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Home Sweet Home

After spending several months on a job assignment that took me away from my studio, I'm finally back in St. Augustine, FL. I worked with a wonderful group of folks and enjoyed my stay in Tarrytown, NY which is about 40 minutes by train into NYC.
I'm eager to get back to designing and creating and have lots of new ideas I can't wait to get started on.

Above is a shot of Millie, a wonderful coworker back in New York, modeling the Harris Tweed Patchwork Satchel. Wish I had her here for my next photo shoot!
