Something New

I just added a new handbag to the Pesky Cat Designs shop. The Summer Tote is made from a linen- look upholstery fabric in wheat and is adorned by a bird on a branch ultrasuede applique. Check out the two sweet wooden buttons on the flap.
Last week I made a trip to the Garment District in NYC to purchase some fabric for my upcoming fall collection. Of course I was like a kid in a candy shop. The corduroy section had me in a sugar rush. I plan to introduce some of my fall handbags in the next week or so. Expect to see delicious colors such as pumpkin spice, sweet butter, milk chocolate and more!

My work pictured on the left has taken time away from my work on the right. Spending free time these days with friends and walks on the beach.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

Souvenirs from a Road Trip Giveaway!

That's me in Miami Beach, Florida!

I'm back from a fantastic road trip around the South East, USA!  My partner and I started in NYC and went south on Interstate 95 down to Miami Beach, Florida. We made many stops along the way to amble about and see the sites. In honor of this wonderful trip I decided to have a Giveaway! The Giveaway will be my Saddle Bag, pictured to your left, filled with a few souvenirs ( a surprise!) from my trip. To enter the giveaway all you need to do is follow my blog and post a comment about your favorite vacation at the end of this post.  That's it! I'll pick one winner at random (I will use random.org) this coming Monday. Good luck!

Home Sweet Home

After spending several months on a job assignment that took me away from my studio, I'm finally back in St. Augustine, FL. I worked with a wonderful group of folks and enjoyed my stay in Tarrytown, NY which is about 40 minutes by train into NYC.
I'm eager to get back to designing and creating and have lots of new ideas I can't wait to get started on.

Above is a shot of Millie, a wonderful coworker back in New York, modeling the Harris Tweed Patchwork Satchel. Wish I had her here for my next photo shoot!
